Shropshire is full of great pubs, restaurants, and cafes, many of which champion local seasonal ingredients grown or handmade by superb local producers.  We urge you to get out there and try some of the best, not only the pubs and restaurants, but also the farm shops and country delis. 

 

In Shrewsbury itself by the iconic clocktower, is the town's award-winning indoor market. Cosmopolitan pop up restaurants such as Thai, Tapas and Champagne & Oysters seafood bar, thrive along with traditional fruit and vegetable stalls.

Situated in nearby Kinnerley, the exceptional Cross Keys country pub is a 10-15 minute drive away from Riverside Cabins. With a great selection of craft ales and speciality drinks, together with a delicious menu of contemporary and classic dishes, you will be spoiled for choice! We highly recommend a visit and they're kindly offering a 10% discount for Riverside Cabins guests. Open 6 days a week (closed Mondays).

Located in our own village of Baschurch, The New Inn is just a few minutes drive away from Riverside Cabins.  A welcoming traditional village pub and restaurant that serves a wide variety of dishes, including a full vegan menu, along with a great selection of wines and ales. The New Inn is kindly offering our guests 10% discount off food.

Located in the village of Myddle, The Red Lion is just a 10 minute drive away from Riverside Cabins.  The Red Lion dates back to the 17th century, its original floors and beams remain a feature.  The Red Lion serves food and drink 7 days a week.

Farm Shops, Delis & Cafes

Located in the village of Baschurch Moor Farm shop and cafe is just a few minutes away from Riverside Cabins.  The shop serves meats reared on the farm along with a variety of vegetables, breads, cakes and deli delights. BBQ, breakfast and cream tea hampers are just some of the treats available.

 

The on-site cafe serves home cooked meals, cakes and drinks throughout the day with lots of open space and walks to enjoy during your visit.  Tables can booked ahead. Moor Farm is kindly offering our guests 5% discount.

Located approx. 20 minutes drive from Riverside Cabins, Battlefield 1403 is more than just a farm shop, it’s one of the best butcheries in the UK, a well stocked deli counter, a shop full of speciality great tasting local food and drink, a museum celebrating the Battle of Shrewsbury, a Falconry Centre, Archie Sparrow’s trail for children, and a cafe full of homemade fresh food.
