Which cabins have hot tubs?
All 3 bedroom woodland lodges have their own hot tubs (Gloria, Roscoe, Seven and Snowy) and four of our riverbank boutique cabins: Babar, Milo, Doris and Winston, also have their own private hot tub overlooking the river. Please note due to enhanced cleaning, hot tubs may take time to reach full temperature on your arrival day but are safe and ready to use.
Is there wi-fi access?
Yes, all of our accommodation has wi-fi.
Are all cabins and lodges pet friendly?
We wouldn't expect you to leave part of the family at home. Well behaved family dogs are welcome in all of our cabins and lodges except Babar (sleeping 2) and Reuben (sleeping 4) . There is a £20 charge for dogs. For large dogs over 35kg, please contact us.
What does the cabin/lodge include?
All cabins and lodges include bedding and towels. There is a fully equipped kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee, and a BBQ/firepit (coals are not provided but are available to buy, subject to availability). The cabins have underfloor heating and all electricity and gas used during your stay is included.
What time is check-in and check-out?
To allow us to carry out our full Covid safe cleaning process, check in is from 3pm on your arrival day and check-out is 10am on your departure day. We are unable to accept arrivals before 3pm, unless by prior agreement.
Can we bring more than 1 car?
We expect you to bring 1 car if you are staying in a cabin and up to 2 cars in you are staying in a lodge. If your group needs to bring extra vehicles or anything larger than a family size car, please contact us to arrange.
Can I stay for 1 night?
No, our minimum stay is 2 nights and 3 nights in August.
Do the cabins and lodges have a fridge?
Yes, all of the cabins and lodges have a fridge with a small freezer compartment.
What are the kitchens equipped with?
The cabins and lodges are all equipped with a hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle & nespresso machine and complimentary tea and coffee as well as the necessary crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. The lodges have an oven and a microwave. Microwaves are available on request for our boutique cabins.
What is the postcode?
The postcode for Riverside Cabins is SY4 1HY.
On arrival, you will see the Riverside Cabins sign. Please enter through the gate and drive straight to the clearly marked car park area.
What security is there?
We ask our guests to ensure the entrance gate is closed at all times. This gate is locked from approximately midnight until 7am unless requested otherwise. The site has cctv and is well lit.
Can I use the river?
The river is narrow but guests are welcome to bring rods and try their hand at fishing. Set up along the riverbank and enjoy a paddle or a dip in our natural plunge pool. You could even bring your paddle board as we do have a launch area.
What can we do on-site?
Relax and unwind in our beautiful 10 acres, explore the riverbank, watch out for wildlife (including otters and kingfishers if you’re lucky), take a dip in the natural plunge pool, fish, or a toast your marshmallows down at the quarry firepit.
You are also welcome to arrange a private yoga, pilates or massage session at your cabin, we can put you in touch with local instructors who will come to you. Or a personalised wine tasting evening perhaps?
What can we do nearby?
Voted best market town in 2019, the pretty centre of Shrewsbury is a 15 minutes drive with a great selection of independent shops, waterside cafes, eateries and summer festivals. Take a look at our See & Do pages for other ideas.
Is there a shop and somewhere to eat nearby?
Yes the local farm shop is a 5 minute drive.
